Thornstar glanced around from atop the Highledge. "Guess pretty much everyone is already here, huh?" He nodded to himself and began the cerimony.

"I, Thornstar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. He would like to become a warrior of Skyclan, but must first become an apprentice. Foxkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Foxpaw. Wildfire will be your mentor."

Foxpaw smiled brightly, his eyes lighting up as a gentle breeze ruffled his pelt. He wondered if it was his mother, expressing her delight at him finally becoming an apprentice. He reached forward and touched noses with Wildfire. "Thank you," he mewed, directing it at both his leader and new mentor. "I'll be the best apprentice I can be."
