Greytail padded along with Raintalon next to him. The young warrior looked downcast, and Greytail hated to see her look so sad. "Aw, come on. Cheer up. You won't be in trouble for what that mouse-brain did." he mewed reassuringly. Raintalon sighed. "I know...I just feel like I've failed in my duties." the StreamClan warrior looked up. "He beat me so easily." Greytail snorted. "That doesn't mean you failed. The elder wasn't paying attention to where he was walking and Greytail crashed right into Wildstar, who was staring at him incredulously.
"Greytail?" mewed the leader in disbelief. "That you?" Greytail grinned. "Wildfur, it's been a long time." Wildstar blinked. "We all thought you were dead. That's what RockClan said." The StreamClan leader looked to Raintalon. "Raintalon, what happened? We were worried when we saw the signs of a fight."

Mudpaw padded along behind her leader. She stifled her laughter when he crashed into Greytail, her twinkling eyes alighting with merriment. “Raintalon!” she called, her enigmatic voice airy and light. “Good to see you are well. we were worried.” She glanced at Greytail and Wildstar. “Interesting,” she mewed to herself. “I’d say there is more to this meeting than meets the eye.” She padded forward a bit, and stood beside her leader. “You two know one another?”

Raintalon dipped her head to Wildstar and Mudpaw. "It's good to see you too Mudpaw. Darktail jumped me after I accidently chased a rabbit over the border. He knocked me out and dragged me to camp. Shatterfoot fixed me up and Greytail was bringing me back." Wildstar nodded at her explanation.
Greytail chuckled at the apprentice. "Yes Mudpaw, Wildfur and I know each other well. Actually if what I hear is correct he's Wildstar now." Wildstar looked at Mudpaw. "You see, when I was a warrior I was quite popular amoung the clans. I had friends everywhere. Greytail was one of my best friends in RockClan, though he was supposedly killed in a group of rogues raid on camp." Wildstar looked at his old friend. "Thank StarClan that's not true."
Greytail's gaze darkened. "StarClan don't watch me anymore. It was good to see you again." With a dip of his head the elder turned and disappeared in the bushes back towards camp.

Mudpaw raised a wry eyebrow at the tom, watching as he disappeared, and choosing not to comment on what he had said. “Strange words, Wildstar,” She mewed. “But it is not my place to judge. I am glad to know your friend lives, but his outlook is grim. He believes in nothing anymore.” Her cryptic words faded and left naught but silence, in which she turned, waiting for her leader and fellow she-cat to follow her and head back to camp.
