Raintalon sniffed the herb briefly, then ate it. She wrinkled her face from the bitterness of the herb. "Thank you." mewed the warrior softly. "You didn't have to do this, but you did." Greytail shrugged and sat down. "Your welcome. Your from StreamClan, aren't you?" Raintalon nodded, wincing a bit. Greytail did not respond, but he looked at the young she-cat thoughtfully.

It looks like she’s doing much better.” She glanced at Greytail, noticing his thoughtfulness. “Something on your mind?” she asked, softly, so only they could hear.

Greytail looked up. "Yes. I think that I would like to accompany Raintalon, he glanced at the warrior to check that he got her name right, "back to StreamClan." Raintalon pricked her ears curiously but didn't say anything, just watching the NightClan cats.

Shatterfoot looked unsure, but eventually nodded. “Very well. You may leave whenever you like. I am sure your clan mates are worried about you.” She smiled encouragingly at the she-cat, and then nodded to Greytail, an unspoken message of ‘be careful,’ passing silently from her eyes.

Greytail gave Shatterfoot a reassuring nod, then rose. "Can you stand?" he asked Raintalon. The she-cat stood up, still a little wobbly. Following Greytail, the two padded out of camp. Darktail observed from nearby, watching but not doing anything. I'm tired of waiting...mused the black cat crossly. It's time I put my plans in action... Rising, he walked back into camp, making for the medicine cats den.

Shatterfoot glanced up, looking curious as Darktail padded over to her den. She watched slowly as Greytail and Raintalon left the camp, and then turned back to the dark warrior. “Hello, Darktail,” she greeted amiably. “Is there anything I can do for you?”

Darktail sat down, trying to look as sorrowful as he could. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what I did to Raintalon. I didn't want to kill her, but you know how difficult it is to get prey. We can't spare any." The dark warrior snickered inwardly, his facade appeared to be working. "I just can't help but wonder if there were a better way to do all this."

"You are right that there is no prey to spare." Moonlight admitted. "Leaf-fall is here, and it won't be long before Leaf-bare arrives." what is he up to. Moonlight wanted to trust Darktail, but he seemed suspicious to her. "I wish there was a better way to do this, but next time try not to knock the cat unconcious, a warning would be better, unless it gets too out of hand. we don't want to get into war with other clans."

Shatterfoot looked sympathetic, and nodded, smiling reassuringly. “I know how you feel,” she mewed. “But don’t worry. There’s a better way, I’m sure. We just have to find it.” She smiled. “Why yes, I do have something for you ear, hang on a moment.” She padded to the back of her den, and came back with a bit of marigold, smoothing the pulp onto his ear with one paw. “There, that should do it. Do you feel better?” she asked.
